During my first week in Esslingen, I met a local couple while shopping on the strip. The wife, originally from the states, has lived in Germany with her husband for over two decades. After talking about with the couple for a few minutes, she informed me about the farmers market that takes place in the square on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
.
She said, "you'll find the most delicious apples there" and she was right. For the month I lived in Germany, I made it a habit to buy my fruit from this farmers market. I tried blueberries, raspberries and apples. The apples cost .40 pounds and were filled with a sweet flavor you can't find in the states.
