preperation
research before
I began this trip by researching "things to see in Copenhagen" on google. From there, I created a list of the attractions on a google document.
Next, I looked up blog posts on Copenhagen to obtain firsthand experiences and insider tips. I added any attractions they mentioned to my list.
**If any blog or other source mentioned an attraction that was already on my list, I put a start next to it each time it was mentioned**
(I also took to TikTok as well)
Once I had my list, I researched the attractions with the most stars to learn about them. This helps me remember what each attraction is and how important they are for me to see.
After researching them all, I created a new list of my "must see", which I've attached a picture of them.
Packing Clothes
for one week
1. Check the weather

weather in August was low 60's in the morning and low 70's in the day. cloudy and sunny

2. Research the Copenhagen style

Scandinavian style consists of striped tops and pants, cream colors, Birkenstocks and sambas.

I was only there for a week, but I would've brought the same amount of clothes for 2 weeks.

If the stay was longer than 2 weeks, I would've packed more tops but kept the same number of bottoms.
*Goal is to be able to mix and match the tops and pant to create multiple outfits.

What I packed
- jeans (2): cream, blue jean
- Shorts (1): blue jean
- tops (3): stripped long-sleeved shirt, White knitted short sleeve top, plain white t
- Jackets: Carhart Jacket
- Shoes: brown doc martins, white reeboks

I bought stripped pants and a pair of adidas gazelles whilst there
Packing
non-clothing
- European Plugs: European outlets won't fit the American plugs... I brought 4-5 plugs. *Link in image
- Anti-theft purse: I got one for when I traveled to Germany. I felt safe in Copenhagen (and Germany); I would recommend one if you bring valuables, however I wouldn't say it's necessary. I brought my camera around with me and felt safer carrying it in the purse. It also protects your cards from being scanned through the purse. Again, not a huge threat in Copenhagen.
- Cotopaxi Alpha 35 L Bag: I fit all my things into my Cotopaxi travel bag. It fits in the overhead bins, so I didn't have to check my bag either.
Useful Apps
Travel and Copenhagen specific
Copenhagen Specific
- DOT app: buy metro tickets. We bought the small pass (zone 1) daily @ $10/day. We stayed in Amagerbro, so we needed the metro every day.
-Omni: for train tickets... we used this to buy our train ticket to Sweden.

General Travel Apps
- Delta app: airline app handy
- Google Translate: I used this at basically every restaurant. I also used it at attractions.
- Airbnb: accommodations handy
